2. POLISH NATIONAL DANCES AND THEIR FOLK ORIGIN

The Polish folk and national dances are woven into significant part of Chopin's works. To find them is not always easy because they appear for the most part in stylized form, sometimes up to a couple of sounds only, and often mixed with each other. The video-records form the significant part of the lecture, next to description of history and music theory of the dances we can find in Chopin's music.

3. DANCE-MINIATURES AND DANCE-POEMS IN CHOPIN's LIFEWORK

Chopin created a peculiar kind of dance-synthesis, without denial of their origin and affiliation. He first did it within the "cognate"-dances, later solved the symbiosis of "not-cognate"-dances in a way that the appearance of "alien" dance is really hard to notice.
The lecture is completed by analysis of some pieces - selected by the lecturer - specifically for to explore the inherent dance elements. By agreement - it may be analysed other works as well.

4. FRANZ LISZT AND HUNGARIAN HEIRS OF HIS PIANO ART,
LISZT AND CHOPIN RELATIONSHIP

The lecture shows Franz Liszt as a Man, as an artist and teacher, briefly deals with artistic career of the great Hungarian pianists: István Thomán, Ernő Dohnányi, György Ferenczy, György Cziffra (chain of Liszt's pupils). Special attention is paid to Liszt and Chopin relationship.
The lecture is combined with a slide-show: Franz Liszt related sites (Raiding, Budapest, Weimar, Bayreuth), his photos/pictures and caricatures.
